| Abstract:The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1), the agent responsible for the worldwide pandemic of the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), has produced a remarkable variety of newly recognized neurologic syndromes and a resurgence of relatively obscure opportunistic infections, neoplasms, vascular disorders, and demyelinating diseases involving the central and peripheral nervous systems. |
