MR changes were associated with contemporaneous rises in CD4, but not with
past CD4 change (from nadir) or current CD4 level (visit 1). MR changes were more strongly linked to interval rises in CD4 than to changes in viral load. Inflammation (inflammatory cell infiltration, strogliosis) provides a parsimonious explanation for the MR changes seen. |
