Abstract:The sensitivity and specificity of the California Computerized Assessment Package (CalCAP), a computerized collection of reaction time tasks, was assessed in HIV infected individuals.A traditional neuropsychological battery (TNB) was used as the gold standard regarding the presence or absence of neurocognitive impairment in this population. Participants were 89 HIV1men who were suspected of neurocognitive impairment and were being screened for participation in a drug intervention study. Summary scores were calculated for the CalCAP, as well as for the total TNB and its specific cognitive domains (executive, attention0speed of information processing (A0SIP), learning0memory, and perceptual.
