Publication Abstract Display | Type: Poster | Title: Mobile monitoring of cognition in middle-aged and older adults with and without amnestic mild cognitive impairment: Implications for Alzheimer’s disease clinical trials. | Authors: Campbell LM, Delgadillo J, Paolillo EW, Sundermann E, Holden J, Schweitzer P, Swendsen J, Moore RC | Date: 07-13-2019 | Abstract:Neuropsychological testing methods used
in clinical trails are labor-intensive,
expensive, and only represent a "snapshot"
of cognitive functioning at one time.
Natural diurnal variation in cognition may
obscure our ability to detect change in
cognitive functioning.
We have developed mobile cognitive tests
to assess contextual influences on
cognitive performance and dynamics of
cognitive ability over time.
Here, we discuss the feasibility,
acceptability, and validity of one test: the
mobile color-word interference test
(mCWIT), administered daily for 14 days,
among older persons with and without
amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI)
and co-occurring medical comorbidities
(e.g., HIV). |
