Abstract:"Background: The continuing high prevalence of HIV-associated neurocognitive impairment (HNCI) suggests that current ART may not normalize the infected brain. One explanation for this is that immune restoration might lead to brain injury. The objective of this analysis was to determine if changes in neuropsychological performance following a change in ART were associated with evidence of immune restoration disease. |
