Abstract:"Objective: Infection with the hepatitis C virus (HCV) has been associated with frontal systems abnormalities and neuropsychological impairment in areas such as executive functions, motor skills, and attention/working memory. HCV infection has also been associated with risky behaviors (e.g., intravenous drug use), which may be a function of either a premorbid risky decision making style and/or HCV-associated cognitive impairment. Thus, this study sought to evaluate decision making style in HCV infection.
