in methamphetamine (MA) users. Twenty-six MA-dependent individuals and 26
demographically matched (e.g., age, education) comparison subjects were administered
the Memory for Intentions Screening Test (MIST) as a measure of ProM.
Results revealed significantly poorer performance overall in the MA-dependent
group, as well as on both time- and event-based ProM tasks relative to the non
MA users. These findings, along with research demonstrating ProM as predictor of
success in everyday activities, may aid in the intervention of MA use disorders and
inform strategies for improving the everyday lives of recovering MA users. |
