In cross-sectional analyses, cortical thickness outcomes appear worse for African Americans who report both racial discrimination and low socioeconomic status
Future research should examine these potentially bi-directional relationships between long-term stressful experiences and markers of brain health in diverse aging populations with longitudinal socio-environmental, cognitive, biomarker and neuroimaging data. |
